My name is Ruta, I am a soul behind this crochet world. I started crocheting when I was about 8-9 years old. The first project was a skirt to my barbie doll :). I really enjoyed the process as much as I do now. Whole life I appreciated handmade and exclusive products, to have something special just for you, that nobody else has. In the year of 2020, when quarantine hit the world, and we spend almost all the time at home, I started doing more projects. Really enjoyed researching about yarns, history, materials, projects that were popular years ago, just expanding my knowledge. I loved crochet swimsuits and beachwear in general, they looked so classy. So after collecting everything you need to know about crochet swimwear I started making some pieces.
One thing after another and it naturally turned into small business, started getting orders from all around the world. Crochet fashion returned a year after as a huge trend, you could find swimwear, tops, dresses in every fast fashion store, but let me tell you, for crocheting not as for knitting there are no machines, everything is made by hands. That's why, it is so special.
It warms my heart when same customers return every summer for something new, complimenting the work and the quality.
In 2022 summer Syreni products were sold in a physical shop in New York city, USA, published in fashion magazines as Vigour, Glamour, Malvie. And now we are getting ready for 2023 season with some new projects, new colors and styles, because beach and festival season is approaching!
